The first on this list is Hotel Intergate Osaka Umeda. The location was a big plus for us. Only a few minutes away from Osaka Station, exploring the other parts of the city was a piece of cake. We also loved being close to some major attractions, like the Umeda Sky Building, which is a must-see in our opinion.
Since we wanted something a bit more spacious, we decided to go with the Junior Suite. The extra space was much needed, and we also loved the addition of the sofas. The highlight, though, was the views of Umeda from the windows. They made waking up every morning much more enjoyable.
When it comes to the amenities, you can expect things you usually find at a Japanese hotel. There’s a gym, sauna, as well as a communal bath. You can also have a drink or two at the bar. We would definitely consider staying here again on a future trip.

Up next is the Hilton Osaka Hotel. Being just a short walk from Osaka Station opened up a world of possibilities. We loved being so close to so many department stores, the massive Yodobashi Camera, and countless other shopping and dining options. Getting around was a breeze, too. Umeda’s transport links are excellent. We loved the easy access to the JR West rapid service from Kansai Airport – a much faster and more affordable option than the Haruka Express.
Moreover, we spent our nights in the Standard Room, and it was perfectly comfortable. We noticed all the standard rooms seem identical. Executive rooms, naturally, are on the highest floors and come with lounge access. Furthermore, we also appreciated the subtle Japanese touches in the room’s design. The wood flooring, the Shoji screen, and the fusuma screens for the windows and bathroom added a pleasant ambiance.
What about the hotel’s amenities? Feel free to work out at the fitness center on the 7th floor. While we didn’t use it, we did take a dip in the indoor pool and get a sweat on in the sauna. And for foodies, there are 5 dining options on the property!

Like many other hotels on this list, the Canopy by Hilton Osaka Umeda is in the Umeda district. During our stay, we were surrounded by incredible shopping, dining, and attractions. The fact that Osaka Station was less than 500 meters away was a huge plus, making it super easy for us to navigate the city and get to the airport. This accessibility alone made our trip so much smoother.
We decided to splurge a little and booked the King Canopy Corner Suite, and we were glad we did! The suite was massive, occupying a corner spot on the floor, which meant amazing views. The separate living area was perfect for relaxing, with a plush sofa set that was incredibly comfortable. The bedroom was equally impressive, with panoramic windows that let in tons of natural light, making the space feel bright and airy.
This hotel also offered us some great amenities. We appreciated having access to the fitness center, and the bike rental option was convenient. The dining options were also a highlight. We grabbed some delicious pastries and sandwiches at the Bean There, which was perfect for a quick breakfast. We also enjoyed the open kitchen concept at CC: Carbon Copy, the food was fantastic. And while we didn’t get to spend as much time as we’d have liked at the rooftop Ja Ja! Bar, we did manage to sneak in for a drink one evening, and the views were incredible.

For budget-conscious travelers, the APA Hotel & Resort Osaka Umeda Eki Tower may be the perfect option. This brand-new hotel, having opened in 2023, is just a quick one-stop train ride from JR Osaka Station. This made getting around the city a breeze. We also appreciated the proximity to several temples, including Hokai-ji, Honden-ji, and Hosei-ji Temples, only a short stroll away.
The sheer size of the hotel is impressive – over 1,700 rooms! The basic rooms are compact, but that’s to be expected from a budget hotel. But if you want something bigger, you can choose the twin room or the suite. Some even come with city views.
Additionally, the amenities at this hotel impressed us. We loved having access to a sleek restaurant and a cafe. Aside from that, we loved spending our time in the rooftop pool. If you don’t swim, check out the communal bath instead. And for gym rats, there’s a 24-hour gym on-site.

Our stay at Hotel New Hankyu Osaka was really enjoyable, largely thanks to its direct connection to JR Osaka Station. This was a huge plus for us, as it made getting around Osaka and exploring other areas so easy. Being in the Umeda district also meant we were right in the heart of things.
For our stay, we booked the Triple Room, which was bigger than we expected. We had everything we needed, including an electric kettle, which was always handy for a quick cuppa! Most importantly, we were able to take in the views of the neighborhood from our window.
As one of the best hotels in Osaka Japan near train station, Hotel New Hankyu Osaka also has some helpful services. We’re talking about dry cleaning service, luggage storage, and 24-hour front desk. For food, we had a meal at Restaurant Claire. The curry and aromatic coffee were so good.

Best Budget. If you’re looking for budget-friendly hotels in Osaka Japan near train station, consider the Hotel Hokke Club Osaka. With almost a century of experience, this hotel is considered one of the pioneers of the business hotel model. A hotel with that kind of history near such a bustling station? We had to check it out.
Our stay definitely highlighted why they’ve been around for so long. First, the beds! They use this Duvet style bedding, where the blankets are wrapped in sheets. It might sound simple, but it made a world of difference in comfort. We had some of the best sleep we’d had in ages.
Another highlight was the communal bath. It uses near-natural waters from Koumeiseki Onsen, which makes it feel like a proper hot spring. After a long day of exploring Osaka, soaking in that bath was incredibly relaxing and did wonders for our tired muscles. And then there was breakfast. Wow! The buffet was amazing, with a huge variety of options. We loved trying local specialties like kushikatsu and takoyaki, but they also had a great selection of Japanese dishes, pastries, and tons of fresh fruit.

Being right next to Shin-Osaka Station, the Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station is another fantastic option. Thanks to its fantastic location, we were able to zip off to Kyoto on the Shinkansen in no time. Besides, navigating the local train lines was a breeze. This was especially helpful as we were on a fairly tight schedule.
For the best views, you’ll want to book one of the rooms on the 14th or 18th floor. We booked the one on the 18th floor and the views were breathtaking. On top of that, our room was extremely comfortable. Though not the fanciest, it had everything we wanted and needed, including the must-have tea maker.
The hotel offered us a few helpful amenities. We appreciated the 24-hour front desk, especially for the luggage storage. During our stay, we were also offered massage treatments as well as access to the fitness center at an extra cost. As for dining, we had a chance to try the teppanyaki at Ikka Ichiyo. It was a delicious experience.

Best Location. Choosing a hotel in a big city like Osaka can be overwhelming, but we were looking for something a little less hectic than the bustling Umeda area. The Daiwa Roynet Ginza PREMIER, located in the Yodoyabashi and Kitahama district, was the perfect choice. This area has a lovely, slightly laid-back vibe with some beautiful, nostalgic buildings, giving it a more local feel.
What really stood out to us, though, was the incredible hospitality. The hotel clearly puts a lot of thought into its guests’ experience. For example, the Ladies’ Room is thoughtfully designed by women. We opted for the Hollywood Twin Room with an extra bed, which comfortably accommodated the three of us. Even with all these thoughtful amenities and services, the price remained surprisingly reasonable.
Breakfast was another highlight. We enjoyed a delicious spread at the hotel’s Italian restaurant, which offered a delightful mix of Japanese and Western dishes. This way, you don’t have to always venture out for food.

Best Luxury. If you plan to spoil yourself, don’t think twice about staying at The Ritz-Carlton Osaka. Set in the upscale Kita-Ku district, this hotel is so close to both JR Osaka Station and Hankyu Umeda Station. We loved how convenient it was to pop over to nearby high-end department stores and explore the cultural landmarks.
Our room, one of the 341 guest rooms and suites, offered a spectacular view of the city. We also loved the Italian marble bathroom was a dream and the Georgian-themed décor throughout the room. Of course, aside from the luxury, there were also the essentials: flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi, and a bedside panel for adjusting the drapes and lighting.
As fitness enthusiasts, we were thrilled with the hotel’s state-of-the-art gym. Free access to sauna and steam rooms after working out? Yes! The large indoor pool was another highlight; it allowed us to get in some laps regardless of the weather. And after a long day of sightseeing, we treated ourselves to some much-needed pampering at the ESPA massage rooms. The range of services was impressive, and the facials, aromatherapy, and reflexology treatments were absolutely divine.

Another great addition to this list of the best hotels near train station in Osaka is Hotel Monterey Osaka. This hotel is a standout thanks to the European-style architecture. We were particularly impressed by the chapel on the 8th floor; it’s a replica of a Belgian church and it was easy to see why it’s such a popular spot for weddings. Despite the luxurious feel, we found the rates surprisingly affordable. And the best part? It’s connected to the train station via an underground passage.
We opted for the Donau Double Room, and it was perfect for us. It was comfortably sized and had everything we needed. We had everything we needed, including tea and coffee makers. We also loved the comfortable pajamas! And though not a luxury hotel, the bed was surprisingly comfortable.
During our stay, we also experienced some of the dining options. The on-site Japanese restaurant, Zuientei, was a blast. It gave us an authentic Japanese dining experience. We also loved the buffet breakfast, which had a variety of options.

Most Convenient. Hotel Granvia Osaka is all about location. Why did we put it on the top of this list? Well, that’s because it’s directly connected to JR Osaka Station. No other Osaka hotels near train station can beat Granvia! Thanks to this, we were able to zip around Osaka with incredible ease. We didn’t have to drag our luggage through the crowded streets as we only had to step off the train and into the hotel.
Additionally, we also appreciated having so many shops and restaurants right at our fingertips in the South Gate Building. If you’re not in the mood to venture out, you can visit the on-site Fleuve Restaurant, which offers gorgeous skyline views. We also enjoyed the Japanese meal at Shizuku. There are even more choices in the Daimaru Department Store next door.
The rooms at this hotel are comfy and equipped with the essentials. However, for the best experience, we stayed in the Executive Floor Room, which gave us views of the city and access to a private lounge. A+ for everything!
